Even a sudden rain didn’t seem to dampen the competitive spirit of this years tournament participants.  The tournament draw was the largest number seen in several years. With a good mixture of high school students, along with experienced adults, one could only expect close matches.  Seven matches were determined by a third set super tie breaker.  In addition, the super tie breaker was used in one  trophy match.  It was good to see a large number of out of town participates this year.  The new faces added to the competitive spirit as some very talented players mixed with the traditional local players to raise the standard.  However, two local doubles teams and one singles player repeated as winners in their respective division.  The tournament directors wish to thank everyone for supporting Franklin High School Tennis.
